  1. The program and file reports summarise the items they have examined. A global summary always appears at the very end of the report, however the report may also be split into groups, with a summary appearing at the end of each one. The groups are chosen sensibly, based on the column the report is sorted by.

  3. Each summary contains detailed information about the items it is summarising. Before continuing, please read the Program Report and File Report topics to understand how individual files are analysed. Reports can be customised to define exactly which information to show in the summaries.

  5. Information available in each summary

  7. ΓÇó Number of items. The number of items covered by the summary.
  8. ΓÇó Average Size. The average size (on disk) of the items.
  9. ΓÇó Total Size. The total size (on disk) of the items.
  10. ΓÇó Statuses. A tally for each of the different item status keywords. See the Program Report and File Report help topics for an explanation of the meaning of status keywords.
  11. ΓÇó Total Price (applications only). The total price of all the programs which are available for Windows.
  12. ΓÇó Further Status Breakdown (documents only). An additional tally of four important combinations of document statuses. For more information, please see below.
  13. ΓÇó Modified Average. The average date on which the items were last modified.
  14. ΓÇó Modified Range. The minimum and maximum dates on which the items were last modified.
  15. ΓÇó Created Average. The average date on which the items were originally created.
  16. ΓÇó Created Range. The minimum and maximum dates on which the items were originally created.

  18. Further Status Breakdown categories (documents only)

  20. ΓÇó Mac Standard & DataViz. Files in a Macintosh-only Standard Format that can be read by MacLink, from DataViz. This is useful to know because other Mac Standard files may not be easily used under Windows.

ΓÇó Proprietary & Compatible. Files in a format belonging to a specific program that are claimed to be easily opened under the Windows version of the program which created them. This is useful to know because other Proprietary files will have to be translated or exported for use under Windows.
  22. ΓÇó Proprietary & DataViz. Files in a format belonging to a specific program that can be read by MacLink, from DataViz. This is useful to know because other Proprietary files, that are not Compatible, will have to be manually exported for use under Windows.
  23. ΓÇó Proprietary & Untransferrable. Files in a format belonging to a specific program whose status contains neither Compatible or DataViz. This is useful to know because these files are likely to present the most difficulty for usage under Windows; they will probably have to be exported to a standard format on the Mac, and reimported under Windows.
